POWER TRIP To Join Trivium’s Euro/UK Tour; Band Confirmed For Welcome To Rockville Festival

The unstoppable POWER TRIP has once again expanded their upcoming tour schedule, today announcing their participation in Trivium’s 2018 UK/European tour, as well as their confirmation for Welcome To Rockville Festival and more.

POWER TRIP continues to tour across the US with Cannibal Corpse and Gatecreeper, on the tail of their huge North American tour supporting Obituary and Exodus. Early 2018 sees the band heading to Europe to join the 2018 Persistence Tour along with Hatebreed, Madball, Terror, Broken Teeth, and Insanity Alert in January.

Now, POWER TRIP has just been announced to take part in Trivium’s The Sin & The Sentence Tour this spring. Presented by Metal Hammer, the tour kicks off in Koln, Germany on March 11th and wraps up in London, UK on April 21st, with Venom Prison also included on the bill, and Code Orange joining for the UK leg of the tour. POWER TRIP is sure to be performing choice cuts from their widely praised, second album, Nightmare Logic, out now on Southern Lord. The band states, “We’re honored to come to Europe for our fifth time, especially with such a massive band as Trivium. We’re excited to watch and learn from Trivium and hang out with our friends in Venom Prison. The end of the tour has Code Orange joining the package; it’ll be good to play with those lunatics again. That’s it. That’s all. Don’t fuck up and miss this tour.”

About the tour Trivium reveals, “One of the greatest things about headlining a tour is picking the bands to round out the bill. Code Orange, Power Trip, and Venom Prison are not only the leading edge of the next wave of great metal acts, they are also three of our personal favorites.” Metal Hammer adds, “Heavy music is on absolute fire right now, and this bill proves it. Metal Hammer couldn’t be more delighted to be supporting our brothers in Trivium alongside three truly excellent young bands in Code Orange, POWER TRIP, and Venom Prison on a tour that is going to tear 2018 to shreds. See you next Spring, motherfuckers!”

Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 10th at 10am local time.

POWER TRIP has also just been announced as part of the Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville, set to be held on April 27th through 29th at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, Florida. The massive event sees the band joining the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Queens Of The Stone Age, Billy Idol, and countless more. Tickets are now on sale.

POWER TRIP To Support Cannibal Corpse For Fall US Tour; Band To Perform At Loudwire Awards + Live Footage With Volbeat Posted

Road warriors POWER TRIP have added another massive tour to their 2017 itinerary, as the band will support Cannibal Corpse this fall. POWER TRIP will be out on the road supporting Obituary and Exodus on their massive North American tour from September 14th through October 14th, with Dust Bolt confirmed as the opener. That month-long venture is followed by a set at the Monster Energy Houston Open Air in Houston, Texas on October 15th, where they’ll share the stage with Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Mastodon, Suicidal Tendencies, Five Finger Death Punch, Marilyn Manson, Prophets Of Rage, and many others. October 22nd will see POWER TRIP at the Monster Energy Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California, alongside Ozzy Osbourne, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, Run The Jewels, Marilyn Manson, Mastodon, and tons more.

It has also been confirmed that POWER TRIP is one of the initial performers set to play at the inaugural Loudwire Music Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on October 24th. Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi has been announced as the Courage Award honoree, and Judas Priest’s Rob Halford will be receiving the “Lemmy” Lifetime Achievement Award, in addition to performances by Body Count, Halestorm, Starset, POWER TRIP, and more to be announced.

Directly following the two Monster Energy festivals and Loudwire Awards, the newly-announced tour will see POWER TRIP providing direct support for Cannibal Corpse on the band’s US fall trek. The tour will run from November 3rd through December 8th, with Gatecreeper providing opening support.

POWER TRIP vocalist Riley Gale has been documented performing with Volbeat at a recent concert the two bands played together, performing their track “Evelyn”. See the video RIGHT HERE.

Nightmare Logic, POWER TRIP’s most powerful effort yet, was released early this year to high critical acclaim and anticipation — their sophomore release does not disappoint. With hooks and tightness comparable to greats like Metallica, Pantera, or Pentagram, POWER TRIP punishes fans not only sonically but with pure songwriting skill. Nightmare Logic proves to be one of the year’s smartest and most crucial releases to spawn from the metal and punk scenes.

POWER TRIP Premieres Video For “Executioner’s Tax (Swing Of The Axe)” At Noisey; West Coast Tour Underway + European Tour Looms

Texas’ POWER TRIP has released their official video for “Executioner’s Tax (Swing Of The Axe)” through an exclusive premiere at Noisey. The band continues to tour the planet in support of their Nightmare Logic LP, as they are currently torching the West Coast of North America and will head to Europe in the coming weeks. POWER TRIP’s new video for their hit single “Executioner’s Tax (Swing Of The Axe)” takes us front and center, into the eye of what is guaranteed to be a perfect storm time and time again. The footage, captured at a spirited hometown show in Dallas, Texas melts with clips of political propaganda which encompass vocalist Riley Gale’s lyrics that hone in on the devaluation of human life by those who’ve gained power through money and politics. The video was directed by Andy Capper (Vice, Noisey) with director of photography Joel Pront, and editor Andrew Betsch.

See POWER TRIP’s “Executioner’s Tax (Swing Of The Axe)” video at Noisey RIGHT HERE.

Nightmare Logic is out now on Southern Lord; stream the record at Youtube HERE, Spotify HERE, and iTunes HERE and find ordering options at THIS LOCATION.

After a wild, sold out East Coast/Midwest tour, POWER TRIP is currently taking over West Coast this month with Destruction Unit. Highlights include Los Angeles, Portland, Denver, Vancouver, and more just before they head to Europe with Napalm Death and Brujeria. Check below for a full list of dates.

POWER TRIP Unveils New Single And Extends North American Tour; Nightmare Logic Preorders Posted

Nightmare Logic has taken POWER TRIP‘s classic Exodus-meets-Cro-Mags sound to new places. With hooks and tightness rivaling greats like Pantera or Pentagram and production by the esteemed Arthur Rizk, Nightmare Logic punishes fans not only sonically but with pure songwriting skill. The sophomore release and second on Southern Lord Records, raises the bar and pushes POWER TRIP to new extremes. Since 2013’s Manifest Decimation, the band admits they’ve not only gotten better at their instruments, but have also reinvented their songwriting process into a more nuanced and clever system. The shift shows on this record and does so without losing any of the aggression so essential to the band.

Nightmare Logic is out February 24th on Southern Lord. Preorders for the album are now available at THIS LOCATION.

POWER TRIP hits the road again next month in support of the album. In addition to an East Coast run with Iron Reagan and others, the band has extended the tour up and down the West Coast with Destruction Unit and many more.
